Our Mission - The purpose of the Fellowship Baptist Church youth ministry is to reach young people with the gospel, and then to teach and train them to have a personal, daily relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that it is our responsibility to pass on to the next generation the Bible truths and principles that were given to us. We do not adhere to the idea that teens are to have a more ‘contemporary’ style of serving the Lord. Instead, we want to instill in them the importance of walking with God, and living a life that is surrendered to His purposes. Our goal for our youth is for them to be grow up to be balanced, well-rounded, consecrated Christian adults.

Our Methods - Teenagers are full of energy! It’s our desire to help them channel that energy into activities that will help them fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. Teen Soul-winning gives our teens the opportunity to have a part in leading souls to a saving knowledge of Christ. Several teens are involved in other outreach ministries of our church, including the bus ministry and the nursing home ministry.

Another avenue for involvement is through the ministry of music. The Bible is very clear about the importance of good music in the life of the Christian. We want our young people to listen to the right kind of music, but we also want them to participate in the right kind of music. Teen choirs, ensembles, and smaller singing groups provide the opportunity to do just that. FBC teens are used regularly in the church services.

Teenage years are a time for growth in every area of life! We want to provide an atmosphere for young people to grow. Sunday school classes are broken down by age and gender, allowing teens to be trained at their level. Youth activities provide an outlet for physical exercise and social interaction with other teens in the right kind of environment. Annual events such as youth conference, summer camp, missions trip, and the fall youth retreat are geared to help our teens re-focus on their relationship with God, while at the same time allowing them to have a lot of fun!

We want our teens to understand that the most fun and fulfilling life is the life that is lived for God! Our aim is to support the parents of our young people as they seek to train the children that God has placed in their home, and to point them to the will of God for their lives!
