![]() ![]() The nurseries at Fellowship Baptist Church are provided according to your child's age and activity level. From newborns to those needing assistance with potty-training, we've got what your child needs! By utilizing our nurseries, you can enjoy the Sunday school and church services, those around you in the congregation are not distracted, and your child enjoys "church" presented to them on his age level. Closed-circuit television monitors are in each nursery so that the children get used to the sound of singing and preaching at an early age. Each nursery is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before the first child arrives. Our nursery workers are trained in first-aid and CPR. These ladies volunteer their time at church so you can enjoy your time at church. Newborns - There are clean beds and loving workers with kitchen facilities for the newborns. Each child and his/her belongings are logged with special attention paid to allergies, medical conditions, feeding schedules, and special likes and dislikes. There are even pagers with preset messages to discreetly alert you during a church service if your presence is needed for any reason. Breastfeeding mothers can meet their child's needs in private rooms that are designed for you and your child's comfort. Crawlers - Brightly colored toys and play equipment await your child in the nursery especially designed for the child who is crawling and learning to pull up. Each child is registered on the attendance sheet and diaper bags are tagged with your child's name and stored in a safe place. While you are learning from God's Word in church, your child is learning as well! In this nursery, workers teach how to use manners, sing songs, sit still for a short lesson, and play well with others. We have books and toys that entertain as well as increase your child's curiosity for learning. Toddlers - "Jesus loves me, this I know - for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak, but He is Strong!" The sounds of songs about our Savior greet you as you approach the nursery door to sign in your child. At this age, children are encouraged to sit for longer periods of time as they listen to Bible stories. Good character traits are taught that help those "terrible twos" get along with each other. They learn that they were specially created by a God who loves them. Concepts of colors, shapes, numbers, and animal pictures/sounds are introduced as well as good habits of picking up your toys and putting them away in their proper place. Potty-Training - These nurseries have child-sized toilets in an adjacent room so your child doesn't have to go such a long distance to the bathroom. At various times between Bible lessons, song sessions and snack times, each child is given the attention and encouragement he/she needs to make that transition to becoming potty-trained. |
