Four years ago, Pastor Finley felt the importance for our ladies to fellowship, along with helping meet the many needs of a growing church.

Our Lydia Ladies meet on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in our church's fellowship hall.  This is an excellent opportunity for our Christian ladies to be encouraged, refreshed, inspired, and challenged as one of our ladies shares her personal testimony.

During these meetings the ladies sing fun songs, have "fun-girl" prizes, and choose from the many opportunities available for service in the upcoming month.

The meetings are fun and unique.  Not only are they intended to allow the ladies to have a great time, it also serves and a "service circle."  Our Lydia Ladies actively take part in working our nurseries for special services.  They also prepare gifts as tokens of love for FBC's "Precious Jewels" (age 50+).  "Hugs from home" (care packages) are also prepared and sent to our out-of-town college students.  They also have the honor of preparing meals for bereaved families after the home-going of dear church loved ones.  The Lydia Ladies also prepare dinners to be a blessing to the parents as they welcome their new baby into their home.

The Lydia Ladies can also "adopt" one or more of the 125 missionaries FBC supports.  These "adopted" servants for the Lord are loved, written, and upheld in prayer.  The ladies also put necessity items in baskets to present to our visiting missionaries.  One of Lydia Ladies biggest efforts is to raise money for "Missionary Christmas," which is held during our annual missions conference.  The ladies have a great time as they host dinners, tea parties, scrap-booking socials, yard sales, and other exciting fund-raisers.
