Sunday School Classes
- Children are taught the word of God from a very young age.
They attend a class with boys or girls their own age. They are
loved by a teacher who studies their lessons, prays for them, and
visits them. The children are encouraged to bring visitors and
share the burden of the ministry of reaching others for Christ.
Pre-School & Junior Churches - Not only are children taught the Bible in Sunday school, but they are challenged by a message in church brought right to the level of a child. Pre-School and Junior Church helps develop a child's character, which allows them to sit up and pay attention in church. Therefore, your child will listen so God may speak to his heart. Topics emphasized are respect for authority, gratitude, patriotism, and obedience to parents. Not only will your child learn and develop character, but he will also be challenged to be more like Christ, and have fun doing so. Wednesday Night Booster Band - After opening congregational songs and announcements and before the preaching on Wednesday night, children from toddlers to sixth-graders are waiting for those magic words - "It's time for the booster band!" The children come to the front of the church and are led by the pastor in a few songs that they've learned in Sunday School. Not only do our kids get a chance to interact with their preacher, they are also learning to sing unto the Lord and enjoy participating in church. Their performances are unique and unpredictable, but always entertaining at its finest. We want each child to feel welcome and to learn that we each should participate in praising the Lord. Wednesday Night Pee-Wee Patch Club - To join the Patch the Pirate club, a small annual fee is charged to provide Patch the Pirate materials, which include song books, club uniform items such as sashes and hats, as well as lessons. Lessons are designed to teach Christ-like character traits. Bible memorization is introduced and the children practice songs that are later performed for the church congregation at selected Wednesday night services. It is never to early to start wanting to be the best Christian you can be! Wednesday Night Patch the Pirate Club - Again, the annual fee to become a club member includes the written materials and club uniform items required to be a member of Patch's crew. Now that the children can read and write, more emphasis is placed on daily devotions, Bible reading, and establishing a close walk with God through the study of His word. Character traits and living a Christ-like life are taught through song and story. As Christian parents, we know the importance of a consistent walk with God. This is an easy, fun way to teach our children how to grow in grace and in favor with God and man. Sunday Afternoon Kids for Christ - While parents are in Choir practice on Sunday afternoons, four year-olds through sixth graders get to enjoy a fun time of Bible Drills and contest. Children in "Kids for Christ" are encouraged to participate and interact with other kids in a controlled Christian environment. Many times a Bible study is given and children often get an opportunity to give their testimony. Children truly enjoy this fun time of learning and competition. Intramural Sports - Children from three years-old to ninth grade get to participate in basketball and baseball programs in an atmosphere which agrees with the church's standards. Different divisions of both sports ensure your child gets adequate playing time. Bring your camera and catch those special moments of your child giving his best out on the court or field. |
